have you saved any fish recently?

hey, all. have you guys saved any fish from a negative fate and informed a newbie lately? yesterday I saw a lady at wal-mart about to buy 5 goldfish for a 2.5 gallon tank, and she didn't even have water conditioner. I had to do something! just as the evil wal-mart associate was about to send the little feeders off to their doom, I stepped in. I told her how big they get, how they will be stunted, a run-down on the NO2 cycle, and the prudency of using water conditioners. and so, i told her to cycle the tank and recommended a betta for her once it was cycled. aaaahhhhhh... that made me feel good! always great to save little fishes from certian doom!

good for your fishcatch.i think its wonderful how passionate you are about fish.

I havent exactly gottena chance to save a fishs' life but i did once tell this naughty brat not to bang on the tank in walmart.he looked at me with big eyes and my mom turned and asked me if i owned the store!

I have decided not to be a "fish rescuer". After rescuing two dogs and getting all kinds of sh*t for them, even though they were sweet and well-behaved, but because they were the "wrong" breed, I've decided people can just do their thing. I didn't welcome their input (becuase it was often rude and even threatening), so I won't push my opinions on other people. The closest I come I guess is participating on this forum and giving advice for people who have asked for it. I find it's much less ripe for painful social situations than unsolicited advice.

Anyway, so maybe I've saved a few fish on this forum. Either way, I save my fishies everyday by gstoffer's method!

yes,every lfs i go to i have to tell "the experts"sarcasm,how to take care of thier fish.i have made people clean betta cups,many fish tanks with ick i saw at wal-mart i told the person that was in the fish department that if she didnt put the treatment in it i would!so she put the med in,actualy i did because the idiot tried to put a full bottle of ick treatment in a five gallon tank.

i under stand the thing your talking about,wrong breed,was it pit shepard,rotwiler,doberman anything that has got a bad rep,i had a bad time saving pit bulls,but they are all happy & in good homes now. :

i told this dude at walmart to get rid the dead cat fish so it wont stink the tank he didnt even get rid of the dead cat fish ad told me you know nothing about fish and told me it was sleeping yeah without any eyeball :mad2:
