Having trouble with Algea

Alright, I started dosing with ferts this week and I am already having some algea growth. This may very well be becuase I am a little lost when it comes to this whole dosing thing. Right now I am dry dosing KH2PO4 at .11g and K2SO4 at 3.36 grams every other day. I am not dosing KNO3 becuase my Nitrates are around 20. On the days I am not dosing those two I am dosing 8mL of Plantex CSM+B. I have only been dosing since sunday(4/23) but the algae growth was almost over night. Do these dosings sound too much? Too little? :help:

Ammonia:0
Nitrite:0
Nitrates:20

EcoComplete for substrate
55watt 6700k
35watt (not sure the k)
I have the lights on from 11 in the morning until 10 at night(although I often come back at night and turn them on for a couple extra hours)

Looks like staghorn. There's another thread dealing with that going on and advice from Plantbrain is something to take seriously. Check it out for some ideas.

OK, I read that post and from what I gathered was that the Nitrate is not the cause of the algea but low CO2 can cause problems. I am using Plant Gro Co2 Natural System becuase I don't have alot of money to get pressurized Co2 but I might have to save up now. I am still not sure if my other nutrients are causing problems though.

Low CO2 seems to be a big cause of planted tank problems, at least with a decent amount of light. I would think your system should get you at fairly good levels but it's also about keeping constant levels. Fluctuating CO2 can spell trouble so make sure you always keep ahead of the yeast.
