I have some trouble keeping my Hemianthus callitrichoides down on the substrate. Almost every morning there is some floating that my pleco has knocked loose. It seems the root systems are very shallow, which is to be expected for such a small plant I guess.

Anyone have experience with this and know a good way to anchor it down until it forms a more sturdy carpet?

You can make an eggcrate box with the bottom left out so you can place it over the HC until it fills in. I did that with my Dwarf Hairgrass.

Genius. :) I was sitting here trying to think of things I could poke through it that wouldn't hurt the fish if they rubbed against it, and well, I came up with no ideas. I will try that egg crate thing.

plecos and foreground plants like that dont mix. If you can place the pleco in another tank until the foreground fills in. And even then you may risk him uprooting it..

Whats your lighting(wpg)/ferts/co2??

3.8 wpg
pressurized co2
dry ferts
