I hope your headache is all gone now, but wanted to put my own 2 cents in. It really depends on what type of headache you have as to how you treat it. Myself, the headaches that last the longest are sinus headaches. Sudafed and Tylenol are best for those. If it is a migraine, only prescriptions drugs work for me, that and sleep. Excedrin Migraine can sometimes help if I catch it early enough. You would prob know by now if it was a migraine as they are quite debilitating and make you very sensitive to light (and your computer) and I get violently ill if I do not treat it quick enough. Nothing like throwing up when your head is pounded!

Anyway, hope it is nothing serious and you have some relief by now.....

I suffer from cluster headaches.Think Ive tried everything under the sun as far as pills.zomig and maxalt are part of the the triptan family.If youdont want to take pills,try oxygen,pure simple oxygen from the hospital or clinic.I tames my beast when it appears.headaches are no joke.been having episodes for 20 years now.

humm, I have both on hand, hebily..... NA i dont really fear mixing meds, been doing it alot lately, thanks to my crappy doc....

I dont want to go to the docs, mine suck really bad. I went into the ER, had meningitis, and they missed it! Rash, fever super headache, and all the other symptoms. I went home and was in bed for a week with the worst headache and could not move without crying from the pain. My friend came down with the same illness 2 weeks later, went to a different doc, and bam it was meningitis!

Wow, that same thing happened to me when I was 19! Viral at least. Headache so bad and couldn't move my neck.
For me it helps to eat a high protein diet (eat more when you have one), dark chocolate, plenty of water, and you can mix ibprofen and tylenol if you want. Can pull on the top of your hair gently and rub you eyebrows. Also earplugs and sunglasses if need be.
