Looking for an extra nice (not really studio quality or anything of that caliber), extra comfortable headphones for under $200 US. I've had Bose, which are nice sound-wise, but they managed to break after only a year of use. I've been looking into the Sennheiser phones, which many people seem to like and they come with a 2 year warranty--specifically their HD 595 model. I've also had recommendations for Grado, AKG, etc. Any more recommendations or caveats?

Edit: I should specify that these are primarily for home theater use and some heavier music.

Do high-end Koss 'phones carry that lifetime guarantee that my cheap Koss earbuds had? If so, that would be a great choice (depending on the limitations on the warranty, of course).

That sounds pretty great. They make a mean earbud, and those things are practically disposable in the eyes of a lot of companies. If they take that much pride in a high-end product, that's outstanding, based on what they did with the 'buds.

That's a great price on the HD280 by Sennheiser. The only downside I've read on those is that the headband likes to break. As for the Koss, no doubt the lifetime warranty is the best in the industry, but I haven't been terribly happy with the ones I've had in the past. The sound was pretty average, at least for the ones I had tried.

Still looking. Found a really, really good deal on some AKG 702s. I have heard nothing but good things about Klipsch, too. How do the intraural phones compare with circumaural ones in terms of performance?

JMGO (just my girlfriends opinion) the Sennheiser's were comfortable to wear. Don't know about you but this is almost as important as sounds quality to me.
