My heater has always made sort of a ticking sound when its on and i assume thats due to the coils expanding. but now ive noticed its quite louder and if i go up to the tank and look at it closely, i can see the heater move or even jump a little.

Should i be concerned about this? should i replace it?

Tanks in advance for anyone who can help me out :)

BTW, its a cheap 200w AGA heater that came with my tank.

yeah thats my guess. theres also little bubbles that come off of it when its on.

Has anyone tried the cheaper ones from KensFish?

theres also a little condensation inside it. i think that could mean only one thing; water got in it somehow and that doesnt sound good. ill have to try and replace it asap.

Wow, I would replace that ASAP. I would avoid Marineland heaters for now, as people have been having issues with them konking out, exploding and being unreliable. I would recommend a Jager.
