Heater Placement?

I have two heaters, one vertical along the intake of my HOB(therefore directly under the out stream), and the other is horizontal at the botoom of the tank forming an L with heater #1.

I have my heater right next to the HOB intake. I read somewhere that it helps to circulate heated water better. so far so good.

well, on my one tank the filter is a tetratec so the heater is inside the filter intake. however, for my other tank, i keep the heater in the corner wheres it inconspicuous.
