im looking in to buying a new 20 gallon. i have a heater left over from my old 10 gallon, do u think that would be able to heat it? we dont have AC so in the summer i think it would be alright, but in the winter, my room is the generally the warmest in the house.

I'm guessing its a 50w heater. That's the bare min for a 20g. If it is a 50w, you should be good.
