Spain
nice site you have here. Its my first post and could be good moment to introduce myself.
I'm from Spain and just starting with sw in a 40l (10 gallon) reef. I come from fw and in fact I still maintain a 40g Malawi and a 15g for invertebrates.
I hope to share experiences, I'm sure I'll learn a lot here.

Just a brief detail of my new mreef:

Filtration mini DSB + Liverock (total 30lb)
Pump 500l/h (130g/h)
29w 2 Powerglo
Soft corals: Protopalyzhoa, Zoos, Sinularia Fl. Sarco, Ricordeas
LPS: Galaxea (just 10 polyps from a friend)
Macro inside the tank. No fish. No skimmer.
Setup July. 2months cycling. Current parms: 25ºC - 1025d - Ph 8,2 - NH4 0 – NO2 0 – NO3 <5 - Ca 480 (?) (strange as I dont use anything)
And below you'll find some pics. Hope you like them.
Regards,

Hi Oriongirl. Thanks for your reply.
There's no fish and no crustacean introduced intencionally. I think is too small to maintain them properly. Just thinking on introducing a peppermint srimp, but still not decided.
Anyway I've located lots of other fauna around, just the one that came in liverock. 2 diffferent crabs, 2 types of marine stars, tons of 3 diff types of fanworms, some eurythoe and terebellids, tons of copepods, hydros, sponges, some few aitapsias... I also 'suspect' for a pistol shrimp, but not completely sure

Topoff is just about 1lt (0.2gl) of osmosys water per week as evaporation replacement. Additionally 1lt per week of 'real' water change.
Regards,

Thank you mogurnda and Dangerdoll :)
I'll keep you informed of the 'experiment' evolution

PD: This forum looks great, very interesting posts and active people here.
