Hi, I'm new to this forum, so I thought I would introduce myself.:hi:
I am a senior in college, and I haven't kept tropical fish for about 9 years. When I was a child, my family had two tanks set up: a small 10 gal and a large 50 gal. Unfortunately, my dad did most of the tank maintenance, so there are a lot of things that are fairly new to me about setting up a tank and keeping it running smoothly. But, I am doing my best to learn.
I kind of have to re-learn very quickly, since my friends surprised me with a betta in a bowl for a gift. It took me about two weeks to realize that a tank is way better and easier to work with than a bowl. So, I bought him a small (1.5 gal) tank and started learning everything I could about doing a fishy cycle quickly. I have two small cories in with him.
Any ideas and advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
PS: A big THANK YOU to whoever started Aquaria Central, and to all the people who work hard behind the scenes to keep it going. You guys all do a great job!
