hi there, my name is shelley, and i am a newbie. a newbie to the fish world, and a newbie to this site.i do have a few questions....i bought 2 gsp at walmart. i know, i know big mistake. they were not selling them as brackish...but i have fixed that. i have read a gazillion things on them, and am trying my best. funny thing is i thought i was buying a couple of new "kids" to gaze at, enjoy and of course spoil...BUT they are a lot of work. i don't mind! which is why i desperately need some PLAIN and SIMPLE answers. remember i am very new to all of this.
question number 1. i have read that cured live rock is very good to put in a tank, BUT can it thrive in brackish h20? i bought a 29 gallon biocube, but have not yet set it up. still have lots of research. this was my plan. water contitioner, live sand (which i have), live rock?, a cycler such as bio spira, and marine salt. i have instant ocean.....anywho, if anyone knows the answer to the cured live rock question, AND if anywho knows if i can add some crabs (for clean up)...not sure if they are either fresh only or full marine...fyi, as soon as my "kids" are adults they will be full marine. seems like that is much easier and nicer. i would love to have live coral, and all the pretty live critters inside...but that comes later. appreciate the help
