my tank
my tanks a 150 G. my dicus will be being moveed too a 30 gallon with a total of 4 dicus mabe 5 depends on there temperment for breeding. i will be moveing my pleco into there too and i have 2 zebra plecos on orderso my 150 eventually will be nuthing more then my 3 knife's and 2 zebras due too there identical breeding scenaro except one thing 80% of the time the knifes eggs are layed in floating plants but sometimes they lay them in the caves like a zebra. i intend on haveing a total of 6 tanks 2 10 gallons one being a breeding tank anouther quarintine( i can't spell lol ) 2 30's one being a dicus tank anouther being a paraha then i duno what excatly im gona do with my 55 gallon in the attic yet =p then my 150 right now i have 150 a 10 a 30 up and running cycled no fish though in the 30 just lotsa plants incase one of the knifefish pick a fight with oneanouther to excess belive it or not as long as knifefish respect domanice in order of eating and breeding 3 of them can live just fine in a 30-50 till there all over a foot then they just need more swiming space. most people think they are verry agressive towords there same breed but from what ive observed they love oneanouther just fight like teenage boys drunkits rough but its all in play. reason i think this is because i had 3 sharks when i first got those knifefish not one of them liked the sharks i watched the 3 off them worked together to deal deadly blows too the sharks the way they seem tooo do it is the zap um and ram them over and over till the fish is dead they all 3 worked together too do it. Now i know its mean but its made the 3 of them much like siblings. now when 2 or even all 3 knifes fight they just chase the heck outa one anouther and once in a blue moon one gets luckly enof too nip some off there tail gets one good nip or shock in return not sure witch think its a little off both and takes off running comes back out 10 mins later too play again. i just add a little stresscoat 1\2 the dose and hes usally fine healed all up in 2 days unless they get in a bad fight usally only if one gets cornered in a tube anything will fight if cornered. usally that ends up with one off them haveing a torn frount fin or little tearsalong there bottom fin
