Hello friends

Hello friends. Im pretty new to the freshwater world. I have saltwater tanks so i figured i would start up a 60 gal tank with live plants and fish. I have the tank going through its cycles now and in a few weeks i should have pic of my progress. Is there anything i should have or get before i dive into this new project?

T5 lighting with 4 24wat bulbs. 60g cube aquarium, 5g sump. i just started it two days ago. i have a few cheap fish in there to help with the cycle. am i missing anything? i want plants and fish. any type of testing kits i need?

I definately recommend haivng a testing kit on hand, especially starting a new cycle.

I would go for a liquid testing kit, like API Freshwater Master testing kit..

Don't use test strips, they are not very accurate.

Liquid tests are much more accurate.
