Just wanted to introduce myself. Great site I've gotten a lot of good info here so I thought I would join.
Not new to the hobby but I'm a bit rusty. I gave it up years ago when we moved to Colorado.
This is the first time I've gone with live plants. I had an UG filter in the past and big fat Oscars with an attitude so I stayed with plastic. I'm running a low light set up 40 watts for a 37 gal tank, no CO2, regular aquarium gravel and no Oscars. I'm going with low light plants that don't require rich substrate.
The plants I've already planted are:
Hygrophila difformis
Anubias Barteri Var. Nana
3x Dwarf Sag
Java Moss
I put the moss on driftwood and I've got a mat growing. I ordered more plants they should be here tomorrow.
Anubias Congensis
Anubias Frazeri
Hornwort
Narrow Leaf Java Fern
Anubias Barteri Var. Nana Narrow Leaf
Anubias Afzelii
Although Med light/nutrient rich substrate is recommended for the sag I thought I would give them a try, they were cheap. I'm loving the look of live plants. Wish me luck.
