just wanted to say hello as I am a new member to your forum and new to the aquarium game.

2 months ago my 2 year old daughter won a fish at a local carnival, and its been an addiction for me ever since.

I now have a 29 gallon community tank with

10 neons
2 cat fish, one silver spotted and the other of a clown variety
The goldfish plus two other goldies..(water is set to 76ish which all my fish seem to enjoy)
3 mollies
and a few other variety fish

my plans are to step it up to a hundred gallon in the near future for smaller fish, not that I dont enjoy larger species...I just want some schools to watch..thats all.

Q: My tank has live plants and I want to add creek rocks(soaking now in a bucket)
How long till they may be safe to add to my tank? I want my tank as natural as possible for the weird variety that I have...thanx .......CHEERS!!!

Welcome to AC!

thanx, I did have two angels and 5 leopard danios in the tank but moved them over to my beginner 10g, as they were a bit feisty.
and as of 5 minutes ago it seems to be that one of my Danios is going to be laying eggs,..as a beginner I want to see if I can get a male to do his thing and make this fry work...Im in a bit over my head already...haha

I would wash them in a soap/water solution (10 parts water 1 part soap) - scrub them - then rinse thoroughly and soak them for about a week, then rinse again and you should be OK.

Where are you in PA?

Bloomsburg,..
I ran to Petco to get another tank to separate my dans and got some crochet plastic stuff, cut it to size , grabbed water from my 29 and wouldnt ya know it....she now has a bloody rear ..... before I could quarantine her and her mate:(
