Hello, let me introduce my self. I have been in this hobby keeping saltwater fish for 2 years. I have a 125gal tank with a 30gal sump. I plan on getting a shark egg thursday and I'm very excited! I have been researching up on sharks for about a year and a half so i know basically alot, I just like to triple check on things. Now did anyone have a shark egg on this site? Any helpful tips? Thanks

is 125gl big enough? I though they needed more

Yes you are correct. But for a hatchling this is plenty of room. I will only be housing it for a year and a half then I'm off to college. My fish will be going to a bigger tank. Have you herd of Bass Pro Shoppe Outdoor World Mall? One is opening up where I live and I spoke to the manager about him taking my fish when I live. Sorry I should of been more specific with the topic.

Welcome to AC, Cartman! Can I call you Eric?

It sounds like you have done some homework on this, and I'd like to see more posts as it develops.

What kind of equipment are you using?

Yes you can call me eric :joke: . But feel free to call me ben (real name).
Equipment I have been using are turboflotor skimmer, heater, maxi-jet powerhead 1200, sump, carbon, and fuge should be done by tomorrow night. I'm having trouble with my skimmer though. It has not produce any foam since the last 2 weeks and it usely does maybe its because theres nothing to take out of the water? I'm new to this site but I have been to many! I dont know if I'm allowed to post what sites they are on here but there are 2 really bad ones.

Heres a pic of the tank in september.I didn't have the sump back then. I do have a really bad camera so please dont be asking for pics. I can NOT get a decent pick of any of my fish. :shark:

Looks great! Welcome to the site!

Be warned, many sharks don't live very long in captivity. They just don't really know how to feed. Make sure it has subdued lighting.

I have noticed that this site is pretty slow. I guess everyone is enjoying their tanks
