I have noticed that this site is pretty slow. I guess everyone is enjoying their tanks

yeah the saltwater section is, now go to the freshwater and something that was on the first page will be on the second in about 5 minutes....

Got the egg! I have some questions that I couldn't find out so maybe you can help.
1) I have a chocolate chip starfish, is it safe with the egg?
2) What side of the egg should be laying on the sand?

Hello ben,
Just wanted to say welcome - I don't know squat about sharks or hatching eggs but I did see something that stuck out in one of your posts; if you want to test out your skimmer (and this isn't anything ive come up with i heard it from the guys at petsolutions.com) try putting in anywhere between 1/4 to 1/2 an egg white (pure protien) into your tank. I had the same reservations about my skimmer but about 10 min after i put the egg into my tank my skimmer was pulling it out of my tank.

just thought i'd give my $ 0.02

regards
drew

I know someone who has hatched a bamboo shark. a few points, it fed straight away and the shark feeds out of his hand, starfish are ok with shark eggs, and they need a huge aquarium. the person i know is building a rock pool, and putting a few rays in there with him. Also the bamboo shark can be patted etc. because it was born as an egg and is actually really tame. unless you have something like a 12ft x 4ft x 4ft i wouldn't try a shark or a rock pool. they eventually become to big unless you get the really small species. the person i know is building a 16ft x 16 ft and 3 ft deep rock pool.

:)

Thanks guys. Very nice people here. Drew, I test that and it worked :)

You really think its beautiful? I'm trying to get rid of it lol! I do weekly water changes and I had a 55gal which I put all my rocks/sand/water from my 55gal into the 125gal. SO that may of helped.
