Found this website by doing a search on google. I'm only into freshwater and this site seems to have a good amount of topics on that. The other sites I visit are more directed to people who are into salt water. So I'm throwing out a big HELLO.
I live in adrian michigan which is roughly 30min north of the ohio border. I've been into freshwater for only a few months now but did have tanks when I was young. My current tank is a 72gal bowfront which I upgraded from the 46gal version roughly a month ago. Both were bought used at the time.
My fish are as follows:
3 Silver dollars, 2 Mono's, 2 african chiclids, 1 green scat, 1 pleco, 2 clown loaches, 1 pictus cat, 9 blue crayfish.
The smallest fish (besides the crayfish) is the scat, the others are 3+" with the pleco being the biggest at over 6". The crayfish vary in size from 1 1/2-3 1/2". Who's saying crayfish can't be put in with other fish? All my fish play nice. The only fish that seem to be targets with the crayfish is the 2 loaches. I think thats because they tend to just lounge around a lot. There fins are pretty badly cut up. Other than that they don't seem to bother each other. My tank is setup with lots of hiding places, mainly for the crayfish. They aren't scared to come out and play either.
My tank has dual aquaclear 500's, and a ebo jager 250 watt heater. Good stuff. Water is brackish and temp is 80.
I've also got a 10gal breeder that I just got going a couple days ago. It's got a penguin 200 and a ebo jager 150. The penguin came off from the bigger tank so it already had the biological growth on it. Water also came from the main tank. I've got a pregnant crayfish in there. She's had eggs on her swimerets for roughly a week now. This would be the very first time that I tried to breed anything. So hopefully all goes well.
I've got other pets as well, its like a zoo in here. Got a siamese cat, hermit crabs, madagascar hissing cockroaches, bearded dragon lizard, and a mali uromastyx lizard. The lizards are for sale btw. Want to downgrade a bit in that area. My cat and fish are my best pets.
Anyways, just wanted to let ya know what I have, where I live, and all that good stuff. Another member adding to the list.
