My daughters tank is a neon dream lol! The typical neon gravel and plants with some red tail Rasboras and make guppies. Not my taste but she’s 1-1/2 and loves the colors.
My 60 Gallon is my display tank in the living room with a South American theme
4 Juvi Angels
6 Red Eye Tetras
10 Green Neon Tetras
8 bronze Corys
4 Nerite snails
Going to grow out the Angels and see what happens in time. The assumption is 2 will go back to the store after nature establishes the pecking order! The Green neons will be the toss up as I know there is a good chance they become food but I read a lot of stories that people have successfully kept them with their angels.
Also with this tank I’m dabbling for the first time ever keeping live plants. Low Tech at this point with an upgraded lighting and dabbling with an All in One Liquid fertilizer. Still working on dialing in the dosing for that but it’s definitely a learning experience!
In my teens I had several tanks up and running and have kept most types of fish Common community fish. I’ve bred (for fun,not profit) Convicts, keyholes and of course livebearers. The types I have not ever done much with are African Cichlids and Saltwater. I do have aspirations to start a smaller SW tank in the next couple years!
After over a decade out of the hobby I started back up with the 10g in my kids room and I convinced my wife to let me get ONE larger tank. It has been a rekindled love and very relaxing for me. I enjoy being back on forums reading, learning and sharing again!
