HELP!!!! .8 ppm ammonia!!!!

hey everyone. yesterday at 9:00 pm i put all 3 of my newly purchased goldfish into a quarantine tank because they all had ich. today, at four pm, i discover that the water had .8ppm ammonia. i did a 75% WC and now its at .05%.

will there will be any permanent ammonia damage to the fish?
 
its about half-way cycled, but thats not the point. im more interested in knowing if there will be any permanent ammonia damage
 
oh, well then id consider it not cycled

the fish will be in there for 4 days, until the ich clears.

I think you're going to need a lot more than 4 days for ich to clear up. We always treat for 10-14 days... better safe than sorry. Fighting ich in goldfish is a stickler, too... because they are a cold water fish. You can't really raise the temp in the tank to speed things up. Take your time and be sure before moving them back into a populated tank.
 
that sucks. my fish are stressed out in the 20 gallon quarantine tank

Why don't you just put them back in your regular tank and treat the entire tank for Ich?

The ammonia posioning is going to kill them before the Ich if you're not careful. Goldfish produce a ton of waste so in an uncycled tank your readings could skyrocket.
