HELP ASAP. New Betta.

So I went to my favorite fish store and bought a plant, the most beautiful crowntail, and some pellet food. So I got home and realized that earlier I had overdosed my tank with Prime. So I took some water out of the tank and filled the tank again with water conditioned with the proper amount of Prime. But the water was cold, and my tank is now in the low 70's.

My other problem is, when I planted the plant, it stirred up tons of dust and sparkles. (I have a dark gravel that is sparkly.) So now the tank is colder and it's cloudy...and I have a betta sitting in cup patiently awaiting his new home.

So what should I do? Once the tank gets up to 76 degrees, should I just go ahead and put him in? Will he be okay even if the water is cloudy? Will he be okay waiting in the cup for the temperature to rise? Help me, please?

The plant came from a cycled tank. Otherwise, no. I just couldn't get my hands on anything to cycle with. I plan to do many, many water changes. I'm going to get some cycled filter media from the fish store tomorrow.
 
So will he be okay even with the water a bit cloudy?
 
I wouldn't put him in there until you rinse the gravel really well. Make sure the water is clear and no more dust or sparkles are suspended in the water. Then put the plant back in, add some 78 degree water and Prime, and set your heater at 78.

Is the water in his cup dirty or clean looking? Is his cup water cold, can you check the temp of the water in his cup?

The gravel was rinsed quite a few times before I even set the tank up. And it's been spirred a lot too. Even if I was to take the whole thing apart, I doubt it would make a huge difference. I could be wrong though.

The water has Prime in it. I never do anything with aquariums without it. :thumbsup:

My heater is automatically set for 76 degrees. It doesn't go higher or lower.

The betta is in clean looking water, and the temp is in the mid-70s.
 
Most of the debris and sparkles have disappeared. The tank is back up to its normal temp. The ammonia is 0, the nitrite is 0, and the nitrate is 3. I used prime, so no chlorine. There's a little bit of cloudyness left, but I think I'll go ahead an add him. Let's all hope for the best.
