I introduced a male convict into my tank and now my B.P and him are lip-locking and going at it. What should I do?

re-arrange the tank and add a few new things...

I think a convict is going to beat up and kill a BP no matter what you do. You need to separate them.

Actually the Convict was the one taking all the punishment, however they have calmed down quite a bit.

Glad everything worked out. Good luck with the combo. I had a male convict that had a JD Blackbelt and a Vieja Synspilia cowered to one half of the tank (ninety gallons) and the Synspilia was a good four inches larger. I have never kept BP but I hear they can be fiesty when they want to be, hope everything works out.
