HELP! AT LEAST 50 NEWBORN BRISTLENOSE!

BRISTLENOSE PLECO NURSERY OVERSTOCK

I live in Seattle, Washington. I have no experience shipping fish so I'll have to pass on your offers. At your suggestions, however, I'm going to take a few choice offspring when they are a little under 2" and try bartering. For God's sake, I've spent well over a $1,000 over the last two years. If he won't deal, I'll try Craig's List.

By the way, my avatar is my only male. This is the 3rd straight day he's been in the shell (from his head to the last 1¼ of his body. I have 3 females, soon to go to a loving home. I'll get another male for companionship. I'm just too inexperienced for breeding.

Thanks for all your feedback, though. May your nitrates remain low, your water changes frequent. Take time to relax, let go of the day's stress, and enjoy a little world of simplicity, beauty, social interactions with your little fishy friends. FISHKEEPERS IN PERPETUUM. :)

I'm so tired, I can't remember how to post a reply. Good night, sleep tight.

This is too far away for me to get some BN plecos. Good luck placing them.
Not sure the BN needs a companion since they fight each other.

I wish someone in Central Florida would have this problem, I'm going to keep waiting. There should be enough people from here in the Seattle area to take a few off your hands.
Look around for a local fish club, contact them, and ask if they could find homes for your fish. A quick google for seattle aquarium club returned the 'Greater Seattle Aquarium Society' (http://www.gsas.org/)

You could contact the Greater Seattle Aquarium Society http://www.gsas.org/ I'll bet you could get some takers there. I've joined, but not yet made it to any meetings. Seem like a good group of people.

I have one very small albino bristlenose, but no room for more. Enjoy the babies while you can!

Yaaa...ditto that idea. We are so used to the 'net and mailorder that we sometimes forget there are still REAL fish clubs around. Went to a Cleveland Aquarium Society mtg last month...came home with 2 otos and 3 bristlenoses for $7 at auction. Made some new friends too...that don't think it's odd that I have 5 fish tanks or that I have 8" goldfish:grinyes:

Will be taking a couple bags o' Platys to the next mtg! Even if I give 'em away, they'll go to good homes.
