HELP! BOSEMANI RAINBOWFISH SICK

Hi again. Just saw your tank list in the signature. If nothing has changed there, no fish could have hurt the Boesemani. Sure the water you put in was "clean"? any other fish oing funny things? New plants with lead strips around them? Heater fine? How the filter doing? Recent change in filter material or filter material old and decomposing? UG filter?
Could be loads of things...work through them and find the culprit.

PS: I love rainbows and especially boesemanis!

Unfortunately I tried to QT the bosemani and he died :( and I feel awful. Thanks everyone who tried to help me. Much appreciated.

Hi All,
Apparently some found my answer(s) above insulting. It was not meant as such, just popping up possible culprits before platytetrafan has serious problems. Tanks do crash (even for the most experienced people) with serious implications and I was only trying to help.
No offence meant.
Kind regards,
KarelM

I appreciate Turando101 comments regarding the situation and in a private message relayed my feelings. Yesterday I was a little upset about losing my centerpiece fish and since my water parameters which I listed have been fine and until yesterday the fish showed no signs of distress I may have read and misunderstood. My last rainbow is doing fine absolutely no signs of disease on him all the other fish are fine eating swimming I am dumbfounded. I am due to do a wc on the tank this weekend with gravel vac and decided to wait a while before I add anymore fish. I truly appreciate all the input but you know how it is when you try your hardest to care for these fish and when you lose one and have no idea why it is extremely frustrating. Thanks again all.
