help, comet sea starfish is lloing ruff.

sounds like the algae will be around for awhile then. its a long battle sometimes...but always has to do with water quality.

well without a skimmer make sure you compensate by doing extra water changes.

i do have a skimmer, but germanman said, basicly it wasent a good make.
(i have a red sea prizem skimmer)
so eventuarly i will get a new one.

yea lol its Pisaster gigantis its a local species the giant knobby sea star. thats from when i went tidepooling a few months back.
its a small one still...they get muchhhhhhh bigger

some are fine this is an intertidal species it was outside on a rock eatin mussels.

They have an upgrade kit to turn that into a delux model, not a whole lot better but it would help in the meantime.
