A couple of weeks ago when my mystery snail died, the cories got a bite or two off it - that was my big clue that it was dead. Now they have discovered my new mystery snail which is very much alive and well, but gets nipped at by them everytime he starts to come out. Sometimes, I think he tries to close his door so quickly, that he scoops up a bunch of gravel and is stuck open with the cories picking at him until I come along and chase them away. Thinking maybe I should add another cory to keep there mind off the snail, but I think that would only be temporary, also plan to do a water change today and rearrange the decor, that might help a little. I have doubled what I feed hoping that would make a difference, but as of yet, it has not. Any other suggestions out there???

I was planning on getting something colorful, not another cory, so I would rather not, but if that is what it takes...

Drop some frozen bloodworms in there, they will forget the snail exists! I have never seen corys get as crazy as when they get bloodworms.

are you feeding them a sinking wafer? mine ignore snails altogether - maybe they're not getting enough food

I will try the bloodworms. In the mean time, I feed them pellets that sink, and I was thinking of maybe throwing in some frozen brine shrimp that I have on hand...at least until I get to the store for bloodworms.

Thanks!
