I noticed the last couple days, my 3 albino corydoras have been staying in one spot for a long time. I always thought that they move alot, maybe I didn't watch them as long as I have been the last couple days. Is it normal for them to stay still for a few minutes?

Now one is floating around on its back. Is it dieing? It is still breathing.

calm down

I don't have albino cories but I do have reg. cories and they stay still for long periods of time all the time. They usually only move if they've stayed still for to long, are scared by someone near the tank, or are looking for food. Even though I don't think theirs anything wrong with them I'd watch them to be safe, make sure they eat!

Yea, cories do not move around much. Mine nearly jump out of the tank when someone comes close, thats about the only time other than when they are looking for food.

I thought I remember reading in a book that corys can take in oxygen through there stomach so this allows them to stay still for long periods of times.
My corys usually sit still on the bottom alot.

any fish that's floating around on it's back is usually dieing, you should test your water quality and get back to the board with the results. Then we can tell you what's wrong. You probably have high ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate polluting the water which is very poisonous to fish.

I've been letting the corydoras eat the food scraps from the other fish. Is this enough, or should I be feeding them directly? If scraps aren't enough, what should I feed them?
