help!! dead marimo balls!!

ok brief update. after refrigerating for a night and putting a tiny bit of salt as well as some Nutrafin Plant Gro NPK, i managed to salvage a VERY small piece by ripping the balls open and finding a very small patch of green. i've ripped off the yucky brown bits, and am putting it in an independent container and see if ti can be salvaged. fingers crossed!

You probably killed that small piece by refrigerating it and adding salt. If you didn't kill it, you can spend the next 10 years trying to grow it back to the original size.
