Hi! Everybody,please help!

My Guppy was sucked in the aquarium pipe by accident today, he got out after I unpluged the whole thing, but I think he is serious injured . He still alive and can swim normally , but half of his tail was gone and I am sure same for the skin too.

What should I do now to save his life???Please!! :help:

What are your other tank mates? water peramiters? tank size? You could try adding a small ammount of salt to the water which will aid in healing (1-2 tsp per 10 gal) make sure to do frequent water changes to avoid infections.

If it is just the fin part of the tail, it may grow back, but if the fleshy part was damaged it might not.

Besides adding aquarium salt, I used Sress Coat for fins or silight body injury. The tail/fins usually heal and grow back within a week or so. If you have Stress Coat, read the instruction to see if you want to and how much to add. Good luck!

Thanks!he is getting better!

Hi guys!
Thanks a lot for your help, I did add some salt to the water yesterday after the accident. I think he is getting better today when I checked him this morning. The good sign is he ate a little bit,Not much, but better than none. :)

Opps! The rest of his tail is gone, what happened?

I just checked my injured guppy and found out he has no tail now,he still had about half after yesterday's injury, and now he has nothing at his back, I don't know what happened to him, my only guess is the female one ate his tail. because I have only two fish in the tank, so she much ate his tail, because she is much aggressive than him. Why she did that?? Will he be ok without tail  ???

maybe move the fish to a diffrent tank, so the other fish dont pick on him...

Yeah, moving him to a hospital tank might be a good idea. Sometimes even nice fish will pick on a sick fish. It might give your guppy some peace, plus it's a convenient place to medicate the poor guy if needed.
