Help!!!!!!!!!!! fire gobie has a red gill

is it sick do i need to get it out of my display tank plzz help

I dont know what it could be without pics but I would remove it from the display. We also need parameters so we can see if the water quality is good.

Are the gills swelling up or are they extended? Is the fish having trouble breathing? The gills themselves tend to be bright red as this is where the blood is high oxygenated. If the fish has one or more of the above symptoms or you can see worm like creatures in the gills then there is a problem.
Also a picture would help.

Red gills / gill covers are usually a sign of ammonia poisoning. What are your current water parameters??
