help my swordtail is gasping for air!!! its a female and is verey large i put her in my QT just incase whats wrong?!?!

the qt tank is now a 10 gallon tank. not planted has a flower pot in it and a heater,and flite. the ammionia is 0 the ph 8.4 the no2 0 the no3 0
Is this tank new?

First off thats odd that a cycled tank shows no nitrates...
Also, how often are you doing patrial water changes in your display tank?

Put an airstone in the QT tank.
How much surface agitation do you have at the moment? If there is not enough gas exchange, there won't be enough oxygen in the water for her to breath.
I use sponge filters in all my QT and hospital tanks so that there is adequate gas off.

i put back in to the main tank and shes fine now. i did put an air stone in the qt tank. thanks for you help.
