Help for a friend

Returning the fish would be the best thing to do. I wouldn't go to an LFS that would allow fish to be sold with a non cycled, way too small tank.

If they won't return the fish, your live rock would definitely help, also give them some of your sand too because that has the bacteria. Do you have any other filters running on your tank with media or sponges? Any surfaces in your tank will have bacteria that they will need, so give them what they can.

OK i just went down there and tested the water .
ph 8.0 rites
0ppm rates
0ppm amm
.25 ppm.
hydrometer way below and they have no salt lol
i gave him the option of bringing up the shrimp and mandrin to my tank .
the others seem ok but you never know .
his wife is out as soon as she returns i will do a 20 gl water change and give him the rock from my sump , pluse let him use my spare heater lmfao they forgot to sell him a heater .
Thats all i can do for him at this point , i really dont want anymore fish in my tank yet , but if he shows up at the door with them i will help out .
I do know i have lots of copepods in my tank so hopefully could save the mandrin but i have a feeling the salt level is WAY too low and no heater . have a nano skimmer i can loan too
makes me want to cry .
here i am with a 90gl and more then happy with my 2 clowns and 2 gobys , and a 20 gl with 13 fish omg.
i will loaner my 20gl to him also untill he gets his chit together.
He is verry upset at the LFS and he never knew any of the stuff i was telling him so it isnt really his falt , but i did stress that it needs to be attended to TONIGHT or everything will be dead tomorrow.
Thank you all very much
it is a good thing i was overly cautious and baught 2 of almost everything lol or he would be out of luck lol

As I'm sure you know now, this hobby needs to be carefully researched before starting.
We should all have a friend like you. I'm not sure I would want to risk my healthy tank to save what are likely already sick fish. To put them in a tank that is not temp acclimated is enough to kill even the hardiest of fish. I wish you both the best of luck. These tanks are great, but they do require a fair amount of time and money.
