We had about 21 fry to start with, they are just over a month old and this past week they have been dying off like crazy! We are now down to 10. We clean their tank daily and they are on "First Bites" food, with crushed powdered flake food. They seem fine, then all the sudden just die.
Any ideas on what would cause them to suddenly start dying?
Are fry hard to raise???
Thanks!
PS..Mom is Fancy Calico Goldfish
Dad...either a fancy goldfish or a black moor!
:help:

Do they have any spots or marking on there bodys they might have a disease.

What size tank, what are your water parameters, what water conditioner do you use?

I bet they aren't eating properly. Try mixing the powdered food in a cup of treated water. Then pour the whole thing in, this spreads the food around and helps them find it better.

They are in a 5gallon tank, (there is only 8 now) still dont look like regular fish yet.
We use "Jungle" ACE (Ammonia, Chloramine Eliminator)

Also, we are already putting their food in a cup of their aquarium water first, then pouring it in.

Thanks in advance for any help :)
