HELP!!! I HAVE SICK FISH!

hey guys, i know it's been awhile, but i wanted to let you know what all happened with my fish. my boyfriend and i actually stumbled onto something easier then using a plastic tub for them. he had gone to see one of our friends (who is also a fish enthusiast) and he suggested using a medication called lifeguard or something along those lines, i'll find out for sure then, and just medicate the main tank with it. so we got everyone back in and treated it for 50 gallons (it's a 55g tank) and now everyone is doing great! i would definitely suggest this medication to anyone, it worked for our fish and our little feather dusters are fine. now we've got a side project in our quarantine tank. my boyfriend fell in love with a dog faced puffer at work so he wanted to bring him home and i said yes, unfortunately the little guy has ich so we have to make him better then he'll be getting his own tank... i've become a sucker for one of the oscars there so i'm trying to talk him into that now : )

thanks for te update!...but do you have inverts in ur aquarium or live rock? most medications will harm those things and is why u shouldnt evcer use one in the main aquarium unless it is organic and compleatly 100% reef/invert safe. glad to hear ur fish are better though!:)
got the exact name for us maybe on the med?

May be wrong, but i think you maybe refering to Lifeguard, by IO?

If you are, it certainly is not invert safe at all am afraid.....

I am glad that the fish have reacted well to it though, really happy...

Niko

i know you shouldn't use the main tank to treat and normally i wouldn't but something had to happen for the fish to get better, i treated them awhile ago, and i know all the issues with live rock (which i have) and with inverts (which i have small feather dusters, hermit crabs, and i now have an anenome) this stuff worked well because it hasn't done anything bad to my tank, and it has fixed my fish
