HELP! I just got a HUGE red Pacu as a gift!

I love Pacus and think they are one of the fish with personality....but be prepared for a long commitment....our Pacu turns 26 this year!

Your Pacu may be injuring himself by running into the tank walls because he dosn't have enough room when swimming. Personally, we don't use feeder fish - there are plenty of other food that the Pacu will eat and we like to discourage eating other fish in the tank. Also, keep in mind that the more you feed him, the quicker he is going to grow/outgrow your tank....
