It looks like he has little pieces of salt stuck to his fins i would get you a pic but you would not be able to see it they are so small. What do i do?

You can start by increasing the temperature in the tank (it's hard for ich to live in higher temps), and purchase an ich treatment at your LFS. Many times this will do the trick and your fish will keep on kicking.

Yes as suggested raising the temp a few degrees and SLOWLY adding salt is many times all you need to do. If you don't see an improvement within a few days Kordon's Rid-Ich has been known to work as well as Maracyn.

IMO the salt/heat method works the best for ridding your tank of ich without being detrimental to your fish. There is an extremely good article from Roan's site about the salt/heat method http://aquafacts.net/index.php?option=com_mambowiki&Itemid=50 Click on fish diseases and then ich to find the article. Good luck and let us know if you have any more questions!

Raise temps to around 80 (slowly) and add the salt, use medication as a last resort b/c the rams can be super sensitive to them.

It shouldn't if you follow the directions on the packaging :)

wont the salt kill my plants?

Go read the article that I linked, it will explain everything from the life cycle of ich to how to treat it with salt/heat to no it wont damage your plants.
