What do you think?

Just from the quality of the photos i would say it is a afra type fish sorry i cant be more precise but it looks like a male afra maybe jalo reef..

thanks for the help!! I was thinking the blue is a white top afra as well. Then I thought the grey was a female- but then I saw egg spots then I thought male.. LOL who knows? Thanks though sincerely.

The bottom one looks just like one of my fish! :) "Pseudotropheus Zebra" There are many many many names for this fish.

This is what I think yours may be: http://fins.actwin.com/species/index.php?t=9&i=491

Can you try to get a clearer pic of the top one? I know how the blackberrys are. THe pic quality is better if you dont zoom at all. trust me. ;)

This is also a good page to look at... http://www.african-cichlid.com/Lake_Malawi.htm (shows a few with the blue vertical stripes and their different species... so you can see which one yours looks most like)

I think the top, although quality is not very good may be a red top afra... try to get a better pic.

thanks for that site! I used it to determine that the blue one is most likely an afra lol. I will try again for a better pic and re post. I really appreciate the help

hopefully this will clarify- hopefully lol

My fish dont pose :-(

and just by eyeballing- I'd think I have a Cynotilapia afra (male)
Cynotilapia afra (female)

Sweet! Looks like a good comparison, they look awfully a like! Pics aren't too clear, but I bet you have a better view from outside your tank ;)

Enjoy these guys, they look awsome!

thanks. yeah I just snapped with my Blackberry. I should see if I see a difference with the digital camera. But it seems as though my fish have grown overnight lol. They are getting more lively now it seems! If I'm able to truly get a presentable pic I will post it :-)

Thanks again for all your help.
