Help ID these snails

Loaches, particularly yoyo loaches, are renowned snail eaters. I've also heard rumors that RCS eat snail eggs, but I'm not positive about that one. Then, the snail genocide would be beyond your control. :)

My RCS don't seem to do anything to control rams, and nothing seems to control ponds snails. I am transfering to the blue ramshorn snails. They look just as nice and are not as much trouble....

I had a betta that liked to eat pond snails... took him awhile to figure it out but eventually he was headbutting them off the glass then having a snack.

For serious control though you may want to go for the loaches like stated above. I got a little one a couple weeks ago and you can watch him going around looking for baby snails (He's still tiny himself) :)

Edit: Forgot to add that you could also make a trap for them too with a container and some veggies or other food... snails go in and you just remove it and dispose of them. Crush or maybe give them to someone who wants them as food for a fish or something.

Thanks everyone. I will try the container method just to be rid of them. I did put 1 of the black snails in the tank with the angelfish & betta. I saw the snail about 30 mins. later climbing half way up the glass, came back to the tank about an hour later and cannot find the snail - However, I have black sand - making it hard to see if it's there but I actually think it was eaten. The red ones (or pink) are cute so I don't want to feed them but will try to catch them & give them away.
Want them?!

I definatly agree, my yo-yos eat snails like no one's business haha, how much are you selling them for?

I don't know yet, I haven't attempted to catch them yet. I'll put some zucchini in a small bowl to try to catch them. I could let you know in the morning.
