I purchased these fish maybe 5 months ago and the dealer warned me and told me that these fish were really mean they were sold to me as telmatochromis red cheek congo i havent been able to find anything on these fish except another picture that looks like mine but with a ton more color, as for mine they are brown and drab, also mine are full grown, i am including a few photos if these are true red cheeks does any one know where i can get some info and photos on the web, thanks i appreciate your help..

hello jpappy thats what i have been running into i know its a telmatochromis but what exact species i can not find, crazy aye, well close up is what you see in the photos the females are usually darker black looking with no other shades and the males look brown to tan depends on moods swings and wow those teeth i get bit at least once a week by the males i have 2 males and 6 females in the 120gal i added the champsochromis to eat them when they get bigger because i have way to much rock and gravel, crushed coral and large shells to catch them. thanks again hopefully someone will know..

thanks ibr3ak i do see the resembling in the orange varient pretty cool my males have the nott head going on and the females are in their shells how big do theses guys get
