Help identify things that go bump in the night

Ive only seen this thing at night what is it??

The thing in the middle is a bristle worm, under the bristle worm is a small christmass tree worm, at the top looks like an earth worm, but whats the weird thing on the left, its like a snail come slug ? never seen during day, but i snapped it with the flash muhahahaha.

ooooh, while im here, is this just a normal pod type thing, there loads swimming around in the tank.

That thing on the left is a stomotella varia. A very good snail to have. The second pic looks like a amphipod to me. Also good.

I agree about the stomatella.
Another possibility for #2 is a mysis shrimp. I have a lot swimming over my rock at night.

The worm at the top is probably a peanut worm--a good thing.

Cool, i guesed it was a peanut worm, that rock is full of them.

I just get a bit paranoid when i look in at night and see these weird things ive no noticed before, OH MY GOD ITS GOING TO EAT ALL MY FISH you know.

I noticed the things looked alot like mysis shrimp food, didnt make that link

Well, the good news is that things that target fish are seldom seen OFF the fish. But, it's always good to check them out and make sure. Have you visited this page: http://reefs.org/hhfaq/ ? It's great for ID'ing the more common hitch hikers.

yes read that, must have missed the stommatela. i spend most my time looking at the criters rather than the fish, very interesting stuff.
