Help identify this plant, please?

It may be Telanthera roseafolia.

This is most likely Red Hygrophila
(Alternanthera rosaefolia)
Apparently this is not a true aquatic. It grows emersed just fine, but dies off quickly when submersed.

I have some, and in the right conditions (lots of light and CO2) it grows like gangbusters!

When I first got mine, it had been grown emersed but new submersed growth came very quickly. It tends to get lots of roots at the nodes but they can be trimmed to "clean up" the look.

I think we are talking about the same plant? But if your growing it, one can't argue with success.

I believe "roseafolia" is the name for a color variant of reineckii(?)

I have some of this plant as well. It grows fast, and the tops will reach above the water level. I have to trim mine quite often. The color seems to brighten when the tops reach out of the water.

Thanks everyone! I'm thinking its most likely the alternanthera reineckii. I have have 85 watts on a 37 gallon so it will interesting to see how it does. It's also interesting the differences of opinion on whether its an aquatic, not an aquatic but may do well long term, or won't last long at all. I usually try stay away from the non aquatics, but the lfs assured me it was an aquatic (even though they didn't know what it was!) Typical.
