Help identifying this plant?

Hi all,
I just got back from the LFS with some water sprite and java ferns, and they were kind enough to throw in these stalks for free. Problem is, I have no idea what they are and can't find anything that looks like them.

The stalks are red when fully developed, with green leaves. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think they're an aquatic plant. Luckily you got them for free. Looks to me like it's a common house plant (just judging from the leaves).

Can anyone confirm this?

The leaves are thick and have supporting veins on them which to me indicates a non aquatic plant. Aquatic plants gain most of their support from the water around them.
