help , Is it a disease ????? (pix)

could also be remnants of aggression or ammonia burns.
but either way.. fresh clean water is your best bet.
oh i forgot , so i don need any medication ? should i seperate them ?
i got sera omnipour s .

unfortunately you have to rely on the LFS information.. I worry a bit about over stocked shipping back as ammonia can build up quickly in those.

but as mentioned fresh water goes a long way to healing damaged fins.

these look tattered which is why I mentioned the shipping.. ammonia burns may not show up for days after the fish is released. the tissue will slowly die back ..on the plus side..it heals relatively quickly. as long as the thick structures remain on the fins. even if those go away part of the fin will heal and return to almost normal.

my wild scalare had serious ammonia burns but they healed in a few weeks.

tattered fins are also indicative of aggression. so keep an eye out for that.

salt is often used but I would try clean water with small daily changes first.

thnx for replies ,my tank is planted so i don think i can use salt or medecine in there , or can i ?
so a daily 10% water change will do the trick . and what bout a uv ? will it help ?

UV won't help if it's fungus or ammonia burns. What you need is a little salt, and a lot of water changes.

Salt in a concentration of 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons will not harm your plants if kept for a short term. I would hit them with one full dose, and then water changes 10% - 20% water changes for the next 5 days, followed with a large oen at the end.

oen ? sorry i didn t got it ...

try just daily water changes.

:( :( :( :( one of them died , :( ... but surely not cuz of the fin rot , only 1 mm of his fin was rot ...
and the second one , he seems like to come for food but seems to me he doesn t eat that well like before ... he sallow a blood worm , split out and sallow it again , and do that again and again till he leave the food , and go for another one and same story again ,...... :( i don wanna loose another one ...
i know u r gonna ask for my water parameters , but i ran outta tets kits , and can t buy one in next 3 days , i m extremely busy these days ...

I'm sorry owl, this is getting very fustrating to read. I've been following your thread on the Discus, and now the Angels.

You indicated that you QT them for 2 weeks, and then dumped them into your 55. You are telling us that you cannot afford a test kit, but you purchased these fish. You are also stating that you have no time, and that you are extremely busy these days, but you are taking on more fish.

I just don't understand what you are doing, or why you are doing what you are doing.

With that aside, I will most likely stop posting, as it's pretty upsetting to be reading this, as I'm trying to save my Discus, and reading of others trying to kill theirs. I know you don't intend to be putting these fish through this, but your practices says otherwise.

It's probably best if you take these fish out of your 55, and place them back into QT if it's not too late already. What they seem to have is internal parasites. Let's hope that it's not Hex or Spiro, as those are common on Angel's and Discus.

Good luck with your endeavours.

That definately is fin rot, get some melafix and pimafix. Use them both at the same time as directed, should clear up the problem granit you have the correct water conditions... regular maintenace that sort of thing, change the water once a week. Angels are sensitive fish, treat them with respect and they will bring you rewards! :)
good luck
