HELP...MAN DOWN IMPORTANT

for both of them to die in the same day for no reason what so ever especially when water quality is fine?...on top of losing multiple fish over the past few months when they were all fine

i wouldnt say your water quality is fine w/ like 3 tests.

tested for copper?

phos?

ammonia?

anything else?

fish dont just "DIE" do you have a QT?

kodiak makes a good point too.

With no sign of trauma I would agree its a medical/chemical issue, just not the common ammonia/trites/trates issues but not a villain in the tank. Where do you get your water from? Dont remember if you said its RO/DI or what. Also, someone else in the dorm using any number cleaners/sprays ect. could be driffting in and getting into the water. Any chance it could be a package of bad food? Hope this isnt it and your problems dont continue in the 125g but i would keep digging around to make sure they dont.

The symtoms are sounding more like internal paracites. The problem here would be identification, without performing autopsy's on those that are gone and having the proper facilities to test, treatment would be hit and miss. If you are setting up a new tank, if possible, I would suggest running the tank fishless for 30 days, as most paracites would be gone from lack of a host.
If possible qt the remaining fish in seperate containers, syphoning out the bottom of the qt tanks daily. Many intestinal paracites can only be transmitted to others by being injusted. If you know someone that has a microscope and you can get some of the waste from the fish you may be able to find out if it is a intestinal paracite by finding eggs or larva in the waste. As far as chemicals to treat for internal paracites, the treatment will cause stress to the fish, so the wrong treatment will probably kill the fish.
The only other possible cause would be from intestinal impaction, which can be caused by feeding a restrictive diet, frozen foods not fully thawed.
These are just my opinions, and I hope that they help.

The fact that the fish are dieing at night is interesting. Is your tank open topped or closed and do you skim? Photosynthetic organisms like algea respiring at night combined with organic waste decaying in the tank and the high sg & temp could be leading to oxygen deficiencies

"i find it really wierd that he says the fish are acting completely normal up until he finds them dead in the morning..."

isnt this how the post started? but idk ne more...i put my eel and wrasse in the tank so hopefully the eel will eat w/e is killing my fish... and that wrasse is like die proof so heck with it...well see what happens...imma have to move my tank in a few months ne way when i get outta this jail cell i live in
