First part of next year I will be setting up a 75 gallon tank planted and probably running co2 injection. Filter will be around 300 to 400 GPH canister filter. Black sand substrate. PH around 6.0 to 6.5 maybe a little lower.

I want to fill this 75 gallon tank with fish that are no larger than only 2 inches.

I will not be getting large groups of 1 type of fish, I would like to have about 3 or 4 of each fish type. Exception of about 12 Neons.

So far my list will have:
6 Badis fish
4 Oto cats
4 Gold tetras
12 Neon tetras
4 Scarlet Badis
8 Pygmy Cory catfish
Possibly a breeding pair of Betta albimarginata

Cardinal tetra, Endlers, Asian Cardinal Rasbora, Smudge-spot Corydoras, Green Fire Tetra, Six-ray Corydoras, Golden Pencilfish, Espi Pencilfish, Ember Tetra, Mini Moth Catfish, Burmese Bumblebee Goby, Sparkle-eye Whitecloud, Burma Yellow Neon Rasbora, Boraras micros, Zebra Rasbora , Phoenix Rasbora, Chili Rasbora, Chili Rasbora, ...

Hi!
If you like more tetras, what about lemon and glowlight tetras or black neons?
Something else, cherry barbs are very nice.
But with a tank that size, I would add bigger groups of less species IMHO; at least 6 fishes of each species.

Pair of peacock gudgeons.

yeah harlequin rasboras weren't mentioned!!
sometypes of killies are that small
white clouds and golden white clouds
bloodfin tetras, serpae tetras, black skirts, gold skirts
most barbs only get like 2.5"

Cardinal tetra, Endlers, Asian Cardinal Rasbora, Smudge-spot Corydoras, Green Fire Tetra, Six-ray Corydoras, Golden Pencilfish, Espi Pencilfish, Ember Tetra, Mini Moth Catfish, Burmese Bumblebee Goby, Sparkle-eye Whitecloud, Burma Yellow Neon Rasbora, Boraras micros, Zebra Rasbora , Phoenix Rasbora, Chili Rasbora, Chili Rasbora, ...

Very cool fish, I never even heard of most of these fish before, thanks :)

These fish I would be interested in housing in my 75 gallon tank:

Endlers
Dwarf Pencil fish (Nannostomus marginatus)
Ember/Fire tetra (Hyphessobrycon amandae)
Sparkle-eye Whitecloud (tanichthys micagemmae)
Galaxy Rasbora (Celestichthys margaritatus)
Chili Rasbora
Boraras micros
Furcata Rainbow (Very cool)

Any more cool little fish out there? :)

Their belly's looked bloated in all the pictures I've seen of them. :silly: lol

fat fish need love too craig... :grinyes:

Check them out in person before you nix them from your list... they're really cool. Bright colors and fun personalities.

Just fyi, bumblebee gobies are brackish fish. Sounds like you didn't want them anyway, but just in case anyone else was considering them. I have them in my brackish F8 tank, and they are way cooler than any of the pics I saw online.

Anywho, you should get at least 6 of each schooling fish. It will make them more interesting because they will feel more secure. Congo tetras look really cool, especially once they've been in your tank for a month or two. They get about 2". They'd look great in your tank, I think.
