Help Me Decide, Please

Alenquer and Santerums are more brown in color. Yeah, his brilliants, cobalts and snakeskin flachens are awesome. Why don't you google his blue pigeon bloods and see what you think of a show stopper! Marlboro reds just don't stand out in the tank the way you think they are going to. I've had them.

The blue pigeon is very pretty. Will they pepper up though?

They may, a little. Talk to Hans about them. While I don't have these particular fish, my "electric dreams" are similar in pattern and colors and also pigeon blood based, they have a little bit of pepper on the nose since they began to spawn, but far less than the marlboro reds.

I might be in the minority on this one, but imo discus are more attractive in groups of similar colors. Mixing blues and pigeons with solids, to me, looks garish and unnatural. If it were my tank, I'd get a school of leopards or pigeons and leave it at that.

2 or 3 each of your favorite colors, up to your stocking limit, would be my choice

I thought about this too. A tank full of one. But it is sooooo hard to choose just one.

There is so much detail in discus patterns, and their colors are so bright, that mixed color groups can be a bit confusing. I like being able to see the nuances and differences in a bunch of fish of the same pattern. If you can't pick one strain, maybe just limit it to color groups, within which you can pick different patterns.

I am leaning toward brilliant turquoise, flachen snake skin, and maybe the pigeon blue that Pinkertd suggested.

Inka they are like M&M's. The red ones are yummy, the blue ones are yummy, the yellow ones are yummy, gotta eat em all cause they're all pretty and yummy and too hard to decide!!!:evil_lol:
