I have looked at his discus! Yeah, slobbering all over myself. I would love to be able to afford his fish. I know he has a few lower cost ones, but I still wouldn't be able to get very many with the cost of shipping from the west coast. Once I get my feet wet and grow these some, I might just have to splurge on one or two of his.

I say mix it up, but only by color or pattern, as mentioned previously. either go with diff. pattern all in the same basic color, or the same pattern fish in a couple colors. We have a discus show tank here at work and have several diff. patterns and color~ It does look a bit uncoordinated! We do have a couple of 5" marlboro reds, and imo, they are quite stunning! but I prefer the plain lookers over the heavily peppered myself.

I like old style discus best, squiggled more than solid colors but I'd get 3 or 4 of 2 or 3 types because it's too hard to choose just 1. Wish I had your dilemma, I'm sure they'll be spectacular!

I guess I am not of the majority:headshake2:

I prefer discus tanks with a single color.
but mix it up with some cardinal tetras.

;)

Yeah, it's been a while since I've had anything shipped to me from Kenny but the difference in shipping costs from my first order with him to my last order was staggering! Big fish = Overnight = Big Box + Long distance = poor house!
