Help me find info on this fish, plz...

I used to own a really neat fish called an African Featherfin Eel. Sadly, it was before I knew too much about fishkeeping, and it passed away a couple of months after I got it. I have not been able to find one since then, since the lfs I obtained the fish from had taken it in on trade rather than ordering it.

It's also been called an African Flag Knifefish, and its scientific name is Papyrocranus afer.

That's all I could find on it, but I'd like to know more about its habitat and requirements as I'm thinking about trying to find another. If I have all of the specifics on it, I should be able to get the lfs to order one for me...

Yikes! 3 feet? I guess I'll have to hold out for a 200 gallon tank...

Well, the other link says 20 cm, but I don't think that's right because the one I had was bigger than that.... I think I believe the bigger numbers on this one...

(80 cm IS almost 3 feet, right, all you math whizzes?)
