Help me fix my tank!

driftwood is a must

So here is the tank after some re-arranging and some new driftwood. . . Yeah, I know, I should have taken out the floating stick before I took pictures, but I didn't think about it and Stitch the puffer thinks my fingers mean food! I tied the moss to a piece of slate, in case I want to move it later it'll make it portable, and the java fern is tied to the wood, and I still can't figure out what the stringy thing is so I tucked it into a crack in the driftwood. Figure if it doesn't look too hot I can stick it back in the gravel, but it had a kinda thickish root like the anubias, so I'll give it a go like this. Thanks everybody!
Oh, do you think I should get a ground cover for the foreground in front of the driftwood?

For the amount of plants in the tank, it looks very good. From my limited experience I have not had any luck with ground cover plants except for Dwarf Sag. Nice job and when the java moss grows and it most likely will, you have plenty of wood to attach it to.
