I have two pairs or mpwimbe blue frontosa that I need to move approximately 4 1/2 hours. I wouldn't normally care too much but these happen to be F1's and I really do not want to hurt or kill them. I also have a wonderful Royal plec that is about 10" in length. I really do not know how to keep heat and aeration on them for that period of time. It actually may be more like 6 hours by the time I get new water in the tank and get things going. If anyone has any experience please let me know what I should do. Thank you to all of you.

They should be fine in the bag for up to 12 hours. After all, they were probaby in a bag for 12 hours or more when they were shipped from africia. If you can, go to the fish store and have them put oxygen into the bags for you, but if not dont worry about it. Just make sure you tank is the last thing to be torn down, and the first to be setup. The Royal pleco could probably go in a small container, and he will also be fine. As for heat, just put them in a cooler, and use a heat pack if necessary to heat it, but dont let it get too hot.

Also, dont feed them for 2 days before the move. That will minimize any waste they produce which could be harmful in such a small bag.
